Gordon Stone has extensive experience in rural, regional community and agricultural programs. As well as being a Director of QualDATA, Gordon is a Director of the consultancy Gordon Stone and Associates Pty Ltd, which has operated Australia wide and in SE Asia, over the last 17 years. Gordon has particular skills in interpersonal communication, strategic planning, group facilitation, technology transfer, training and project management.

He has worked with government, rural industry and private sector organisations, around Australia, in the meat and livestock, grain, fruit and vegetable, irrigation, dairy and Small to Medium Entreprise sectors. In addition he has managed a number of community development projects – both in these rural industries, in the wider community and in SE Asia.

His particular expertise is in working with rural industry organisations – and businesses – that have an Research & Development, extension and technology transfer and technology adoption focus. Gordon is providing national leadership in more effectively linking Agribusiness into the RD&E System – particularly through his research with the Cooperative Venture in Human Capacity Building, a number of the Rural Research and Development Corporations, Cooperative Research Centres Cs and large and small agribusinesses (in a business development role). He is inaugural Chair of the GRDC National Agribusiness Reference Group.
