Innovation

QualDATA is pushing the boundaries of adoption and evaluation theory and practice as applied to the rural production, NRM and social capacity development sectors.

The company’s innovations have been developed and captured through its practical experiences in conducting many short and longer term consultancy projects as well as in material being refined through the company R&D program and the QualDATA training program.   They include:

  • Developing and running workshops for RDC & CRC managers, government and NRM bodies in strategic stakeholder engagement, market research and evaluation.
  • Developing the QualDATA Log frame and Stakeholder Engagement Matrix which suits large programs with both research and extension / information delivery components.
  • Developing new data collection tools including: structured narratives; structured debriefs; observation approaches; and the use of proformas to maximise internal reporting benefits towards Monitoring and Evaluation reporting.
  • Exploring improved approaches for capturing, measuring and reporting improvements in environmental and social dimensions – through measuring change in activity and understanding and success in meeting Key Performance Indicators and Key Results Areas.
  • Developing a Centralised Web Based Management and Reporting system for evaluationdata to facilitate its capture from many different projects and/or sources and to assist in reporting aggregated findings.
  • Developing a Benefit/Cost process specifically designed for agricultural / NRM sector use that recognises ‘resource constraints’ such as personnel that are variable resourcing factors.
