Students from my UQ Evaluation Course carried out a number of small evaluation exercises to practice their skills.  What was interesting was that many included ‘observation’ as one of their evaluation tools – whether evaluating learning, events or activities.  They found it a useful method of supplementing interviews, surveys or other data collection approaches!
